Ben & Le-Hua in Melbourne (con’t)…
Ok, this is a little overdue. Have been busy with all the backlogs and all the meetings of clients. Since I got back from Melbourne, I’ve met no less than 16 couples (that’s almost 1 couple) every 2 days!
And I know, if I continue to procrastinate, I’ll probably be holding it till I’m back from Adelaide – yes, I’m flying to Down Under again for 2 weeks, this time round, my family is coming along.
Anyway, here are some of the highlights that I like a lot:
Ian & Gloria – 20 Jan 2008
I finally made it to Melbourne yesterday, had a really nice dinner in Lygon and fantastic dessert at Brunettis (Thanks Ian & Gloria!)
Will be covering this couple’s actual day wedding on 8 March 2008, so watch out for it!
Here are some of the shots 🙂
Update on 31 Jan 2008 – the slideshow of all the handpicked images can be found here http://www.lyricalmoments.net/ig/ ENJOY!
Melbourne 02 Sept 2007, Miriam & Kevin
I’m really pleased to say that half of my clientele this year are international and this is one series shot in Melbourne which I like a lot not only for its simplicity, but the many heartfelt moments that I’m really glad to be able to document.
Money, Money. Bride getting ready the dough for the rest of the day. Most of the wedding vendors accept cash only as cheques are subjected to fees. This was taken right after she left the hair salon, just before she goes home to start her bridal makeup.
One of my favourites. Twin sister of the bride getting ready. Three groomsmen and a lady
The chapel where the wedding took place.
Really touching moment hear. Like most of the overseas wedding I’ve shot, it’s real tap works for the couple and their family and friends.
Mother of the groom. Need not say much, it’s all in the eyes.
I love this photo! Beautiful ethereal light coming in. Reception venue. Yours truly braving a 6 degree-c with bone cutting wind to get this shot. Thank God for the invention of tripod.
The first dance with her father. What makes this even more significant is that 2 Sept 2007 was also Father’s Day in Australia.
My all-time favourite speech photo. 4 groomsmen, 4 different expressions, esp the only one who seemed to be connected to the “speaker”
Couple’s first dance. Salsa!
That’s all for now. Bringing Tristan, my two-year-old toddler, to watch Hi-5 concert at Expo (can’t believe I’m doing this!) 🙂
